Walkers from UNH and Durham joined Walk NH to promote good health.

About 200 people took part in Walk NH on Wednesday, walking either a 1.5-mile or 3-mile route around Durham and the UNH campus. The walk was one of several around the state designed to encourage people of all ages to get out and get moving. Gov. John Lynch proclaimed this week as Walk NH Week. Participants are encouraged to make walking part of their everyday routine.
The event was created by the nonprofit Foundation for Healthy Communities, and sponsored by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation.
